We are seeking experienced individuals to serve our members and be a part of our Administrative team as an Assistant Controller.
Job Duties Assist the Controller in directing all financial operations of the club.
Assist with monthly preparation of financial statements.
Post journal entries to the general ledger and handle account reconciliations.
Assist with budget preparation.
Able to work every position of the Accounting Department (Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll and General Ledger).
Assists Controller in preparation of operating and capital budgets.
Distributes financial reports to management and the monthly finance committee.
Provides assistance to managers during the budget process.
Assists the Controller to identify financial issues or trends by review of relevant data, current vs prior year.
Play a role in preparation for audits, including coordinating activities, reviewing, and preparing information provided.
Perform special projects as assigned by the Controller.
Educational and Experience Requirements Three years of progressive experience in accounting or finance with increasing level of responsibility; experience in the Club or Hospitality industry strongly preferred.
Experience in an organization with multiple business units is preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field Solid understanding of day-to-day operations in Clubs, HOA's, and Hospitality.
Applied knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
High level of personal and professional integrity.
Diplomatic and effective communication skills.
Comfort and familiarity with Club/HOA technology and software, advance Excel skills, and knowledge of Jonas is a plus.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to build relationships with Members.
Prior Homeowners Association, Country Club, or Hospitality experience is preferred.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
