Lappert's Ice Cream Lappert's Ice Cream Palm Desert, CA Palm Desert, CA Part-time Part-time From $16 an hour From $16 an hour Duties - Greet customers and provide excellent customer service - Take customer orders and enter them into the cash register system (Aloha POS) - Handle cash transactions and provide accurate change to customers - Upsell menu items and promote daily specials to increase sales - Prepare food items such as sandwiches, salads, and beverages - Ensure food is prepared and presented according to company standards - Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area and kitchen - Assist with stocking inventory and restocking supplies as needed Skills - Experience operating a cash register and handling cash transactions - Knowledge of food industry practices, including food preparation, handling, and service - Strong customer service skills with the ability to provide a positive dining experience - Ability to upsell menu items and promote specials to increase sales - Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and making change - Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail - Flexibility to work in various roles within the restaurant, including cashiering, serving, and food preparation Please note that this job description is not exhaustive, and additional duties may be assigned as needed.
