The 1955 Cadillac Eldorado was one of the more renowned luxury cars coming out of Detroit.
These cars remainhighly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts nearly 70 years later!.

The 1955 Eldorado featured the first multi-carburetion setup offered on an overhead-valve Cadillac engine - a twin four-barrel carburetor setup.
This combination bumped up the Cadillac 331-cid V-8 used in all lines from 250 hp to 270 hp (the Eldorado's standard 270-hp engine was optional in all other Cadillac models).
Each Eldorado was also fitted with Sabre-spoke wheels, the industry's first cast-aluminum wheels.
To give the Eldorado a more unique appearance for 1955, Cadillac styled it with its own set of tailfins (another first).
An Eldorado-only rear bumper complemented the model's unique fins.
A total of 3950 Eldorados were built for the 1955 model year at a base price of $6,286.

The car presented at auction is a wonderful warehouse find! This is a mostly original California car with amazing documentation to include the original dealer sales receipt, dealer to owner paperwork and general receipts.
Among the paper work is a thank you card nothing that Audie Murphy, famous actor from the 1950s, rode in the car during a parade!.

The motor was completely rebuilt by Mastertec in Salt Lake City, UT.
The transmission was rebuilt at the same time.
The power convertible top pump and hoses were replaced at some point in its history.
The soft top was also replaced and is in very good condition.

The brakes and wheel cylinders are new and the Coker Tires have less than 100 miles of wear.
The car received a repaint at some point and shows very well.
The odometer shows 34,438 miles.
